About the Awards
A word from Martin Webb Chairman of the Judges:
“I am really excited to be asked to chair the Sussex Business Awards. I’ve spent my entire career thinking up, setting up and managing businesses and there’s nothing like the buzz of knowing a plan is actually working. It’s not the money that motivates me – it’s the pure adrenaline rush of knowing that all the planning, all the worry and hard work are actually paying off.
“They say that you need plenty of luck to make a business work and I agree. But you make your own luck through meticulous planning, intelligent analysis of your marketplace and loads of plain hard work and your desire to succeed. If you’re hungry enough absolutely anything can be achieved.
“I know that Sussex is a hotbed of entrepreneurship and business success and I look forward to reviewing the entries with my fellow judges – and acknowledging the winners of 2010.”
